In a surprising partnership that defies conventional expectations, the game developer has revealed an virtual partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, providing free extra story content for Shadows players.
Peculiar Questline Revealed
According to the official statement, "A strange confrontation draws protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a original mission, where hints of banned ceremonies and terrifying transformations reverberate through the obscurity." The plot features a "strangely garbed woman named Ada" who tasks the duo with journeying into the Crystalline Cavern—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her friend from a hidden group.
The adventure centers on "peculiar experiments and a monstrous adversary" and is accessible to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.
Iconic Locations and Changes
The preview showcases the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was previously where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through ages. The teaser ends with a striking moment showing a character, presumably the prisoner, transforming into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.
Special Rewards and Extra Material
Players who successfully complete the adventure will acquire an unique katana in addition to numerous items concealed throughout the area in secret chests. The update also features premium Attack on Titan item packs, including:
